The Legacy of Stan’s Industrial Manufacturing: A Journey of Tradition, Quality, and Innovation

In November 2021, a significant chapter in the history of Stan’s Industrial Manufacturing came to an end, and a new one began. George Schmidt, who dedicated decades to the company his father built, retired at the age of 80. As George stepped down, Troy Murphy took over, bringing 20 years of business experience. Although new to the wood industry, Troy is dedicated to upholding the values that have made Stan’s a trusted name. He is committed to continuing the legacy with products like Stakes and Lath, wooden stakes, survey lath, boundary stakes and lath, and more, all meeting the same high-quality standards customers expect. The company remains focused on delivering the best Stakes and Lath products for all project needs.

A Family Tradition Stakes and Lath Rooted in Craftsmanship

The story of Stan’s Industrial Manufacturing began in 1954 when Stanley Schmidt founded the company. Stanley, a craftsman with a vision, started small, focusing on producing grade stakes and lath, essential components for construction and landscaping. His passion for quality and attention to detail quickly set his products apart in a competitive market. As the business grew, so did Stanley’s desire to pass on his skills and knowledge to the next generation.

From a young age, George Schmidt worked alongside his father, learning the intricacies of woodworking and the importance of upholding the family’s reputation for excellence. By 1973, George had taken over the reins of the company, continuing to build on the solid foundation his father had established. Under his leadership, Stan’s expanded its product line, introducing various skids and wooden reels to meet the evolving needs of their customers, along with a range of landscape stakes, concrete stakes, masonry lath, and form stakes.

Commitment to Quality and Customer Service

Throughout the decades, one thing has remained constant at Stan’s Industrial Manufacturing: a commitment to quality. George Schmidt took immense pride in producing wood products that were not only durable and reliable but also met the highest standards of craftsmanship. This dedication to quality is a core value that Troy Murphy is determined to uphold as he leads the company into the future, continuing to offer marking stakes, plant stakes, building lath, tree stakes, lath strips, wood lath, and survey markers.

Looking to the Future of Stakes and Lath

Troy’s business acumen and fresh perspective are poised to drive the company toward continued success, ensuring that the legacy of Stan’s remains strong with products like site stakes, garden lath, ground stakes, support stakes, wooden lath, and even lath fencing.
